Dr Sujith J Chandy is Senior Professor, Pharmacology & Clinical Pharmacology at Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, India. In his previous roles, he had served as Executive Director, ICARS and as Director, ReAct Asia Pacific.
Dr Chandy completed MBBS and MD at CMC Vellore and attained his PhD focusing on antibiotic use from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. He is Chair of the ICMR Expert Technical Advisory Group of the National Task Force on Safe and Rational Use of Medicines and a member of the WHO Strategic and Technical Advisory Group on AMR. Dr Chandy’s interests include global health, medicine safety and management, and pharmaceutical policy ethics. His passion however continues to be engaging with antibiotic use with stakeholders and the wider community.
