Patricia Sartorelli holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of São Paulo- Brazil. Currently she is a full professor at Federal University of São Paulo UNIFESP and coordinates the Postgraduate Program in Chemical Biology. Since 2023, she has participated in the CEPID-ARIES – Antimicrobial Resistance Institute of São Paulo, contributing to the prospecting of new antimicrobial agents. She has experience in the field of chemistry, with an emphasis on chemistry of natural products, working mainly on the following topics: Bioprospecting of plants and their associated endophytic fungi, through a metabolomic approach using UHPLC-HRMSMS techniques associated with molecular networking for the isolation of bioactive secondary metabolites; Integration of metabolomics and genomics to identify biosynthetic gene clusters of bioactive metabolites.
