Dr Sabrina Green

Dr Sabrina Green graduated from the University of Houston in 2009 with a degree in Biology. She subsequently earned her PhD in Microbiology from Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, Texas. During her doctoral studies, she co-founded and helped establish TAILɸR (Tailored Antibacterials and Innovative Laboratories for Phage (ɸ) Research), a nonprofit service center at BCM dedicated to sourcing and preparing bacteriophages (phages) for patients with serious, drug-resistant infections.

Following her doctoral studies, Dr Green served as the Research and Development Director at TAILɸR, where she continued to contribute to the development of phage-based therapeutic approaches. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at KU Leuven in Belgium, where she continues her research on optimizing phage therapeutics. Her current work focuses on leveraging the bacterial fitness costs associated with phage resistance as a potential treatment strategy for patients with drug-resistant bacterial infections.
